Our Town

Starting with a contemporary frame, we meet a group of young folks gathering on a rainy night to read Our Town, inviting the familiar trappings of our own town to inherently come alive in the room as our audience gathered each night. An intimate room undeniably placed in the heart of our city on a spring evening in 2014 thus became our “empty stage” (as Wilder’s opening stage directions suggest) in which the play came to life. We revisited this classic text through the eyes of today’s ensemble in the hopes of hearing this remarkable love letter to humankind anew.
